Question Trial licenses for extensions

I wanted to ask if there is a way to get a trial license to test an extension just like the base Plesk trial license.

I recently wanted to try the Tuxcare PHP extension TuxCare Extended Lifecycle Support for PHP extension - Plesk so I setup a new server with a Plesk trial license and installed the extension, but the extension doesn't work because it does not have a license. I even tried to buy a license for the extension but it won't let me because my Plesk license is just trial license.

Is there a way to get trial licenses for extensions or is that not possible for extensions?

Hi, @Mattia_98 . Unfortunately, there is no trial option for the "TuxCare Extended Lifecycle Support for PHP" extension. As far as I am aware, there is no limitation on trial licenses. Could you please confirm what exactly happens when you attempt to purchase the extension on the trial server - any errors? Thank you in advance.

When I enter the license key of the trial license I get this error:


This also happens if I try to buy it in Plesk internally.

I do not get this error if I enter the key of a real Plesk license.
So I would understand that you can not purchase extension licenses for trial Plesk licenses.

Hi, @Mattia_98 . Thank you for the clarification. I consulted with our team and they confirmed that paid extensions are generally not available for purchase with trial licenses.
