• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Unable to delete a domain

I tried searching for this problem, and there were tons of solutions for similar problems, but not one for mine. So I thought I'd ask. Running Pleask 7.6.1 on Windows 2003. When I try and delete a domain I get the error:

Error: Unable to remove domains: Problems occured while removing domains: Unable to remove hosting: Unable to delete system user: SysUser->systemRemove() failed: usermng failed: Unable to open process token: (5) Access is denied..

The domain isn't deleted. I've tried running the reconfigurator, but that didn't solve my problem either. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this error?

Thanks in advance for your help

bump. does anyone know? how can I get ahold of swsoft support?

EDIT:
I found these errors in the event viewer

Unable to open process token: (5) Access is denied.
Execute file name:

AND

Unable to open process token: (5) Access is denied.
Execute file name: C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\bin\usermng.exe

Thanks,
Celato

Ok I found the solution. I'm going to post it here just in case someone else has the same issue I did.

I had Symantec Antivirus running. The newer versions have "Tamper Protection", once I disabled that I am able to delete my domains.
