Unable to delete domain alias

On the 'Websites and Domains' tab I check the box next to the domain alias I want to delete and click the 'Remove'. I get the pop-up to confirm the deletion, I click yes then pop-up goes and it does nothing. I logout and login again and the domain alias is still there.

Any details, results of troubleshooting, related error messages from logs?
