  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Unable to upgrade to 8.3.0 - dependency problems!

i'm using the latest swsoft autoinstaller script and the machine is currently running plesk 8.2.1 on debian 4.0
anyone else had this problem and/or knows how to fix this?

We don't run Debian, but have you tried using the --debug flag? That might give you some clue about what is causing the problem.

--debug Turn on debugging mode (detailed output into log file)

Oh, just now I spotted that "E: Version '8.3.0-debian4.0.build83071218.20' for 'libpam-plesk' was not found" error in the output you posted. Seems like the Plesk 8.3.0 repository for Debian 4.0 is missing libpam-plesk.

i confirm i have debian 4.0r2 x86, but i already have that same version of libc6...
and as it's a critical package, i am certanly not going to change it but am gonna wait for swsoft to fix their repo instead ;)
