• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Uninstalling Plesk saving configurations

Greetings,
I have tried to install PLesk 8.1 over a 7.6.1. (I had previously updated the 7.5 with the 7.6.1). But now I have 2 Swsoft folders one in c:\swsoft and another in c:\Program files. Moreover when I try to modify the installation of 8.1 version from Add/remove programs, the installation program says it cannot find plesk_7.5.6_buildxxxx.msi. I suppose it failed to update the earlier version and now I have two parallel installations messing up everything cause I also see 2 plesk tray icons and the plesk control panel service doesnt want to load.

So I would like to remove everything and reinstall Plesk 8.1 from scratch. My question is, What I am going to lose if I remove Plesk? Am I going to lose emails, dns settings, databases (Mysql)?
And no, I cant do a Plesk backup cause it is also messed up asking for Plesk 7.6! Thanks in advance
