Unpack Backup

Dear Plesk Friends,

Is there a procedure or application for expanding a Plesk generated domain backup locally on a windows machine? (winzip/winrar/etc...)

Winrar should work fine for the tar or gz files.

As I read the forums the plesk backup is a proprietary format and when I try and unpack this it does not work.

Is there a plesk specific tool or other backup solution?
