  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Question Update 18.0.69

Maria Vittoria

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
CentOS Linux 7.9.2009 (Core)
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.68
Dear Plesk Community, I hope you are well!

I really hope you can help me with this issue, I have no idea what´s happening. I´ve never had any problem with an update before.

In the update settings I selected “Automatically install Plesk updates” but, for the first time, the update 18.0.69 just didn´t happened.

When I check for new updates, the 18.0.69 appears but can´t be installed. I tried a week ago, but my attempt failed. Last friday I tried two more times unsuccessfully. When I click on “Plesk Obsidian 18.0.69 is available” > “Install now” I am automatically sent to a page that I can´t access (ERR_CONNECTION_RESET) https://sp1.globonoc.com:8447/?secret=xtszaeqwymvbdliifbat&locale=en-US

I tried to follow the steps on this link https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/...-to-update-Plesk-Obsidian-to-the-latest-build but when i click in “Tools & Settings”>Plesk > “Updates” it goes to this page https://sp1.globonoc.com:8443/admin/update/product/ that I can´t access (ERR_CONNECTION_RESET)

What should I do to make it work?

Thank you in advance for your time and help, I am looking forward to your reply!

Best regards and I wish you a great week!

Dear Sebahat,

Thank you very much for your reply and for your help.

We checked port 8447 locally and with the server provider, and it's not filtered; do you have any idea of what else it could be? The service provider said we should try to restart the server (uptime: 570 days 11 hours, 7 minutes), but we can't restart it because we can't afford to have our website down. Do you have any suggestions of what else we could do to install the update 18.0.69?

I think that the fact that we can't install this update is also blocking us from installing Roundcube and SOGo, do you think this might be related?

Thank you in advance for all your attention and for your time!

I wish you a lovely week end!

Best Regards,

Maria Vittoria

Thank you for the update. Can you please try running the update through the plesk installer add --componentscommand line and let us know what the result is?

It is likely, yes. Please try installing them through the command line.

Roundcube:
plesk installer add --components roundcube

Sogo:
plesk bin extension -i sogo

Dear Sebahat,
Thank you very much for all your help. I have some great news!
I am very happy because I finally managed to get Roundcube working!
After installing Roundcube manually via SSH, as you suggested, I noticed that the version number appeared under 'Tools & Settings > Webmail', as shown in the attached image. I then went to 'Subscriptions > Domain > Mail settings' and selected Roundcube, and it worked!
Now, SOGo is the only thing that doesn't work. Do you have any advice on what could be wrong?

Glad to hear Roundcube is now working, Maria. I can see that Sogo is selected in Subscriptions > Domain > Mail settings for one of the domain names in the screenshots provided in your previous replies. Is that still the selected option and what do you see upon access the corresponding webmail.example.com address?

Dear Sebahat,

Thank you for your reply, and for all your help with this case.

Yes, SOGo is still selected and when I access the webmail the Web Server's Default Page appears. Please find attached the prints of what I see.

Thank you in advance for all your patience and time! I am looking forward to your answer.

Have a great day.

Best Regards,

Maria Vittoria
