updater no longer working after update 7.5.4

Hello all.

We updated to Plesk 7.5.4 and now when we click on the updater button in control panel it doesn't work.
Any suggestions?

I'm not well up on linux yet, so if any command line stuff needs doing, an explanation would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem because I have VPS through Virtuozzo. Not sure if it applies to your situation.

From Plesk FAQs:

"Autoupdater is disabled by default in VZ Plesk because of VZ Plesk must be upgraded using templates."

Sames happened to me and (not at all) funny thing is I lost my smtp access.

I can see smtp working from the panel, http works, but any clients connected to mail server are not even rejected, they can't get through.

It's big trouble for me and I don't know what to do...
