• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Updating installed apps won't work as expected

New Pleskian
I've got Plesk 11.0.9 Update #31 where I installed Magento 1.8.1.0 some months ago. Now, both the official app site and the apps section on Plesk report that an updated version is available (1.9.0.1). Though, if on Plesk under "Application Vault" I press "Check for Updates" it says that no updates are available. Which is actually not true, since I'm able to install a fresh copy of the updated app!

As a workaround I might guess to uninstall the older version retaining its database (don't actually know whether it is possible), then install the new version and choose to connect it to the existing database. It sounds stupid, though, since the "View Installed Apps" page on the Plesk server states "The list below contains all apps either added by you or installed by your customers. Here you can manage app settings, check for updates, or remove temporary files that were added during apps installations.".

Any hint?
