• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Regular Pleskian
Hi,

I have server with theplanet, I have plesk 7.6 for windows with plesk power pack installed on it and i am going to upgrade to plesk 8, but i dont know which is better 8.1 or 8.2 and how can i upgrade?
Should i pay for upgrade? is it easy to upgrade? what is normall problems that might happend with this upgrade? is there any data loss risk?
Please help me with all problems and expencess that i might pay.

It is quiet risky, I would recommend you to create a fullbackup of Plesk and also make a seprate copy of data backup and then think over upgrade to newer version.

Remember, theplanet will never give you support, the love to reload the OS even if you get a single error. they are offering the wrost support they love to charge $150/hour

As far as I know the first year of license you can upgrade free.
