• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Upgrade from Plesk 7 to Plesk 7.5

Currently we have Plesk 7 installed on a Windows 2003 server. I am not sure if I should upgrade to 7.5. My current configuration is very stable and I want it to stay that way.

Is there anybody who has done this allready?
Should I go for it?

Marcel

Of course we did it.
It is quite simple. But at first you should create full backup of Plesk(using Plesk's backup utility).
Also you can order this upgrade to SWSoft or somebody else(of course it is not free).

What's the best sequence for this upgrade?

- Create plesk 7.0.3 backup
- Install ASP.NET 2.0 framework
- start upgrade 7.0.3 -> 7.5.6
- reboot
- Install Win2003 Service Pack 1
- reboot

Does the upgrade require temporary diskspace? Is it possible to specify which partition to use for these temporary files?

Regards
