  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Upgrade Php from 5.1.17 in plesk 8.3

New Pleskian
I need to use Pecl zip for php. My plesk 8.3s running php version is 5.1.17. I need to upgrade that. But I am not sure if php 5.3 can be compatible with my site. How can I solve this? Can I have backup of plesk first? how is that possible. I have tried to build zip from source. But it failed.
Any help?
Thanks.

I don't have any idea about this.I also want to know about this.

I have tried upgrading to 5.3 but it stopped plesk from loading. I had to restore plesk by autoinstaller script. Then installed 5.2.17 from another source. Then the pecl zip installation succeded. What do you actually want? Installing pecl? or backup/restore plesk?

We are running a few servers with Plesk 9.2. PHP is tightly integrated with Plesk, so I'm wary of updating it independently of Plesk.

The problem is that 9.2 ships with PHP 5.1, and I need 5.2.

What's the correct way to upgrade PHP on a Plesk system?
