xomatech

New Pleskian
I just updated to Plesk 8.1 (from 8.01) on my RedHat Enterprise 3 box and, although the upgrade appears to have gone just fine, none of the sites work anymore!!

If you go to ANY of my sites, you now get the "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Test Page" instead of the site.

This is hapenning on ALL SITES....just check out http://www.xomatech.com/ to see what I mean!

Something DIDN'T go well...and I need someone who might have had this same problem help me out ASAP!!

On various other websites I get the error:

Site error: the file /usr/local/sitebuilder/include/autoprp.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.0.so to be installed by the site administrator.

As you can see if you visit http://www.alphagcm.com/

What the HELL is going on here????

Someone PLEASE HELP!!! I got a ton of clients that are going to get on my *** about this really soon!

Damn PLESK!

I re-installed the sitebuilder program, and now I get the "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Test Page" on every single website. I don't get that last error message anymore.

Still a problem, still need help!!!

Guys sorry to hear about issues, however if it is critical to business then I suggest you send a ticket to [email protected]. The technical support team will help if you have a current valid key and support.

Just a suggestion :D

Oh, I did already, but I'm sure I'm not the only who's updated to Plesk 8.1.0....and I doubt that I'm the only one having this particular problem.

So, in addition to trying to get SWSOFT involved, I figured I would try to see if someone on here had experienced the same problem and had come up with a solution.

My experience with Plesk is that it's always some stupid little command that you need to run and everything comes back to normal.

So far I've tried running websrvmng (at the suggestion of a tech from SWSOFT), but this has not fixed anything.

Any other suggestions?

Yes it does....not because of any help that I got from the Plesk people, though.

After spending close to five hours trying every trick in the book (including all sorts of suggestions found in this forum), I decided to try to add another domain.

Since the PSA was working (the websites were the ones not working, but the PSA panel worked just fine) I went in and added another domain-name.

Evidently the problem was with a file called:

/etc/httpd/conf.d/zz010_psa_httpd.conf

The content of this file was erased during the upgrade, rendering the web server useless. The websrvmng command was unable to re-write the file correctly.

However, as soon as I added an additional domain to the server, it somehow managed to re-write it's configuration files and all started working again. The zz010_psa_httpd.conf file is now as it should be.

Only one domain was not automatically fixed, but I resolved this by deleting it and adding it again.

I hope this information helps other people that might encounter that same problem.

Good work, I wonder who pays you for your time? SWSoft?

We run our PSA within Virtuozzo VPS so any upgrade issues that can't be resolved quickly we restore from backup. Virtuozzo I must say is solid. We also run HSPc and have not attempted upgrade to 8.1, I think after reading forums I will wait.
Cheers
Jamin :)

Thanks xomatech - I was having similar problems after the 8.1 upgrade. Websites were working, however Horde was not. After an hour of struggling, I followed your advice, added a new site, and it fixed the zz010_psa_httpd.conf file. Now everything is working!
