  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello, I have a VPS contract with Contabo (Germany) with the Plesk panel, and I also have SSH root access to the server.

I would like to deploy an API in Django/PostgreSQL, I already created the Postgre 15 database and I don't know how to do it to deploy the Django app (4.2.8)
The server has version 2.7.5 and 3.6.8 of Python installed and I installed mod_python via SSH according to the tutorials on this forum.

Can I install a third version of Python like 3.10.12, which is the one I worked with locally? Or should I update the 3.6.8 I already have?

Will it be necessary to apply the update to Alma8 as offered?

Once you have the correct version of Python on the server, how do you proceed to get Django (4.2.8.) to work correctly?

I am grateful in advance for your great support.
