• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Upgrade to 8.3 went ok.

I was not sure if I really wanted to upgrade from 8.2 to 8.3 after I have read all the "horror" stories about upgrades that went wrong.
But some features in 8.3 (Acronis) was needed, and I had to upgrade.

Here is what I did to have a "perfect" upgrade:

1) Full backup the server (Acronis)
2) Backup through Plesk Backup
3) Plesk Reconfigurator : Check everything. It found some minor NTFS security settings, which I changed.
4) SmarterStat Check
5) Start the installer exe file, and was nervous the next 30 min :)
6) Reboot after the installation was done.

After reboot I checked everything like webmail, control panel, sql etc. Everything was just fine and running.

Well I had many forum posting open with good advises from other "unlucky" upgraders, under the upgrade process. Luckely I didn't need them.

Have a nice day. Greetings from Sisimiut, Greenland.
