How to upgrade mysql 5.5 to MariaDB 10 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS without pracking plesk installation

Plesk works very well with Maria DB 10 and it is as well supported, as you can read at: => https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/12.5/software-requirements/

Consider to follow the official documentation, if you would like to use MariaDB 10 instead of the Ubuntu 14.04 version 5.5:

=> from https://downloads.mariadb.org/mariadb/repositories/#mirror=host-europe&distro=Ubuntu

Example:

add-apt-repository 'deb http://ftp.kaist.ac.kr/mariadb/repo/10.0/ubuntu trusty main'​
