Question Upgrade to MySql 5.7 - A good idea?

Hi, I'm considering upgrading mysql as some of my software / websites would run better.

Currently I have Plesk Onyx 17.0.17 and MySQL 5.5.52 on ‪CentOS Linux 7.3. I've seen that 5.7 is not in the repository so it don't update automatically.

Are there any good reason not to upgrade from another repository?

Best method would be YUM and from what repository?
