  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Upgrading from Fedora Core 2 to 3

While upgrading from Fedora Core 2 to Core 3, I got the following error messages:

Error: missing dep: libcurl.so.2 for pkg psa-pre-keyupdate
Error: missing dep: libcurl.so.2 for pkg psa
Error: missing dep: libcurl.so.2 for pkg psa-hotfix4

Well, I may have messed something up (imagine that).

When I go to the updater, it shows the following error:

Error: You are using FedoraCore Linux 3, but autoinstaller was compiled for FedoraCore Linux 2. Exiting autoinstaller.

Wondering if its best to uninstall Plex, and then upgrade, then reinstall...

Anyone?

I am not sure if this thing was discussed already somewhere else on this forum.

have you tried searching before trying to upgrade?

If I were you I would do:

1. full plesk backup

2. uninstall plesk

3. upgrade os (or just reinstall os)

4. install plesk for fc3 (better to install the same version as before, restore would go smoother)

5. restore backup

! And also it's a good idea to just manually tar/gzip old files, just in case, I've heard there were incidents when Plesk backup was successfully created but could not be restored or could not be fully restored..
