• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hello,

I would like to upgrade my MySQL to 5.1 to use the plugin feature. I am using Cent OS 5 and my bundled package version is 5.0.45.
> Is it possible for me to upgrade my MySQL without breaking Plesk? I found a Knowledge Base article for Plesk 7.5. Is it stil valid?
> My hosting support agent informed me that I won't be able to upgrade my Plesk control panel, if I upgrade my OS bundled MySQL. Is it true?
> Will it help, if I upgrade to Plesk 9.5 from 9.2?

Thanks,
Joyce Babu

Just be careful because could be to not start MYSQL 5.1, you will need to do some changes in my.cnf and also to upgrade databases to never version. (always MySQL from x.0 to x.1 do stupid things and developers, users will suffer)
