  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question URL redirects/rewrites via additional Apache/Nginx directives

zigojacko

Basic Pleskian
Running PHP 7.1 FPM application served by Nginx

Nginx proxy mode is not checked.
Serve static files directly by nginx is not checked.

I simply cannot get URL rewrites to work via Additional Nginx Directives... I don't think I have ever managed to achieve this.

Example:

rewrite ^/source_path$ /new_path permanent;

After applying, if I then navigate (in a clean browsing session) to domain.tld/source_path/, no redirect happens (I've tried lots of variations).

Please can someone provide an example rewrite to add in Plesk (imagine that there is nothing else at all in the additional nginx directives field)...?

maybe this already helps as an example

Hi i need help with 2x basic nginx redirect rules as my current setup only points to my front-page but doesn't redirect to the given XX page url.

server_name ~^(?<sub>[a-zA-Z0-9-]+)\.olddomain\.de$; # will cause the sub-domain to be placed in $sub return 301 "https://www.asset-trade.de/${sub}${uri}";
