  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

User name of account owner always used in password reset email of other users

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

Plesk 18.0.42 mu #1

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

A customer account can have multiple users. If one of the additional users forgot his/her password and uses the "Forgot your password?" option it will receive a email with a link to reset the password. However this email is always addressed to the primary user of the customer account. Which is confusing.

For example, let's say the name of the primary user of a customer account is John Doe. And there is a second user name Maria.

If Maria forgot her password and she used the "Forgot your password?" option she gets an email that opens with:
Hello John Doe,

To set up a new password, follow the link: https://server.example.com/....
Obviously the email should open with her name (Maria) not with the name of the primary user (John Doe).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1) Create a Customer is Plesk
2) Login as this Customer in Plesk
3) Go to Users and add an additional user (with any role)
4) Logout of Plesk
5) Use "Forgot your password?" option with User name or email address of the additional user created in step 3
6) Observe the e-mail is addressed with the use name of the user created in step 1

ACTUAL RESULT

The user name of the primary user of a customer account is used to address any additional users of the account.

EXPECTED RESULT

The actual user name should be used to address the user.
