  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Question Using an NFS Share for Local Plesk Backups

Hello,

I have an NFS share backup storage at OVH, and I’d like to use it for Plesk local backups. Specifically, I want user-created backups to be stored at the NFS mount location instead of the default /var/lib/psa/dumps/.

I plan to follow this tutorial: Plesk KB - Changing Backup Location. However, since I can't change the user permissions on the NFS share folders, would this still work? Or could it cause issues?

Thanks!

Plesk supports NFS, but you have to change the permissions as instructed in the guide so that Plesk can write to the partition. It should also be mounted to allow file locking. Otherwise, it will fail.
