using Internet Browser as mail program

Hello together,

I would like to allow users to access our linux mail server worldwide using Internet Browers as mail program. We ready had install Plesk 8.0 on the server.

What we can do ? Many Thanks for help.

Plesk uses Horde/Imp as the 'webmail' program. To access it, you would generally browse to the URL:

http://webmail.domain.com (or you can use SSL - https://webmail.domain.com)

But how to get the username and password to connect to

The username is their email address. The password is their email password.

The webmail program uses the same username/password database from Plesk.

Let me back up and not assume anything....

Have you done at least these 4 steps -

1. Registered a domain name at a domain registrar company such as GoDaddy or Network Solutions?

2. Have you created the domain in the control panel?

3. Have you setup hosting for that domain?

4. Have you created at least one mail user and password, and remembered to put a checkmark in the 'mailbox' area for that user?

If you have done all 4, then you should be able to use the mail user name and password when you get to the webmail (Horde) login screen.

If you have not done all 4 of the steps above, then please do so and try webmail again.

I had done all 4 steps but I still can´t log with the created user. when I click on webmail I got the following Error Message:

Object no found!
can´t find the requested URL on Server.

the registred domain name is

and the mail account [email protected].

may I register the domain name webmail.newcomers-addressbook.de also ?
