• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Very slow sites on plesk 12 , nginx having 7000+ connections from server alone

How can a slow CPU speed cause a high number of URL requests to your web server?

Yeah , when I stopped my sites requests were down to minimal. And when new server was up and running and I started sites there was no lag at all. Checked google analytics and yea it was coz of huge traffic and not the script issue at all.

How does it technically work? A slower CPU creates Apache web server requests? Where do the many requests come from on a slow CPU?

Let me put some light on it as my coder told me.

I use one IP for all sites so those requests were not by server but by the people visiting my three sites, they go down when I stop sites. It was not slow CPU causing them but slow CPU was not able to handle those requests and was showing errors in logs. One more thing I should add is that I changed my server from xeon to i5 coz i5 was cheap and it didn't come out good for me. Lucky for me the xeon server wasn't expired so I transferred file back to server installing Plesk and no errors in logs. Also the chev guru told me to go for xeon CPU when he showed me the server usage with htop tool and yes I did saw CPU going red. In xeon server there is no issue at all.

So its not the slow CPU but the traffic requesting the server. I'm not a pro so it was all my wrong interpretation from the start.
