• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

VPS Server w/ 4 Domains

I have setup a VPS with a host provider and I have 4 domains on the VPS. I have been doing some checking and one of the Domains looks like a MX Record is wrong. If I goto dnsreports and do a mail.mydomain.com i get a response back No MX record found but it finds the A Record. I am new to the VPS setups, but can poke around and fix things if anybody has some ideas.

Thanks For your help

Re: DNS MX VPS

Hi,

go to dnsstuff.com and in DNS Lookup section type your domain name and lookup for MX record. make sure not to lookup for mail.domain.com.

see if its correct or not.

What did you mean by "make sure not to lookup for mail.domain.com." I know when I do the DNSreports and do a domain check the MX and the Mail sections are clear. What brought this up is I have a Vendor that was trying to e-mail us and his e-mail is bouncing back. I know that If I do the mail test where it asks you to put in your e-mail address the response back is a timeout error.
