• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Watchdog Module: smtpd Connection Passed

Hello all,

For some reason, I keep receiving messages from my Watchdog Module running on Plesk 7.5.4 saying:

[Sun, 16 Jul 2006 12:12:36 -0400] qmail_smtpd on myserver.com: Connection passed.
'qmail_smtpd' connection passed

I never receive a message saying that the connection failed. What does this mean? Does anyone else get these messages?

Thanks!

~Jeff

Hi jeff,

have you solved this error? I get these messages, too.

No I haven't. I didn't get any responses from this post.

My guess is that this message is a result of my server losing internet connectivity for a few seconds (or minutes?), which causes the smtp daemon to fail (?). However, I find it hard to believe that I'm loosing connectivity so often -- I get these about 3-4 times a week!

Again, does anyone else know what these are???

Thanks!

~Jeff

I'have te same problem.

I all so noticed that when I got the massage "smtpd Connection Passed" that some mail-accounts have delays. Sometimes One hour, sometimes one day.

The weird thing is that it happens ones in the month for a few days en than is everything back to normal.

Is there a solutions for this problem.
