Watchdog -psa apache bug

This happens every few weeks. Watchdog insists the psa apache is down. Despite restarting the actual psa listener (sw-cp-server) and even deleting the pid, watchdog still says it's down.

That's obviously wrong as I can log into port 8443 both ipv4 and ipv6.

I even tried /etc/init.d/psa stop and then start

Only way to fix is to reboot the server. This seems crazy as it's clearly running. The new pid changes timestamp.

Any ideas?

Centos 5.6 64 bit, fully updated 10.2 with MU7

Do you have any errors in /usr/local/psa/var/modules/watchdog/log/wdcollect.log ?
Did you check configuration files

/usr/local/psa/etc/modules/watchdog/monitrc
/usr/local/psa/etc/modules/watchdog/wdcollect.inc.php

Hi IgorG,

After playing around with /etc/init.d/sw-cp-server restart and stop start, I found this fixed it..

/etc/init.d/psa stop. And then a start.

Interesting restart did nothing (as it's running already), but stop took like am most 1 minute to complete, the start was instant.

I seems like something was holding the stop, but interestingly all services were running, as well sw-CP-server was running as I could log in and out of CP.

After the psa restart watchdog says the psa apache was running. I did check it and what ever you do to sw-CP-server even a stop and start does ot fix this, only stopping and restarting psa

It's weird.

Seems to happen every few weeks of uptime I get the watchdog email saying it's been removed from monitoring. Somethings getting stuck or stale.

Should I check e logs you suggested tonight to see if I can see anything?
