  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello Priyan,

Thank you for contacting Web24 support.

We were working on your ticket regarding the server vmx17029. However now we could see that you have closed the ticket from your side.
We could also see that you were working over the server as we could see a few reboots on the server while working on the same. Please let us know if you need any assistance from our side.
Initially we found that the domains 'chicshop.com.au' and 'odeskwork.com' was showing 502 nginx error. Whereas 'xeont.com.au' was loading perfectly. At that point we also found that nginx was running on your server and httpd was in stopped state.

-------
[root@vmx17029 vhosts]# /etc/init.d/nginx status
nginx (pid 3382) is running...

[root@vmx17029 logs]# /etc/init.d/httpd status
httpd is stopped
-------

After the reboot, on checking we found that the webpages chicshop.com.au and odeskwork.com are showing the default plesk page. Please see the screen shots attached. Also we could see that nginx was stopped and httpd was running.

------
[root@vmx17029 ~]# /etc/init.d/nginx status
nginx is stopped
[root@vmx17029 ~]# /etc/init.d/httpd status
httpd (pid 1245) is running...
-------

From your update we understand that you have updated plesk to 12.5 from your side. Web24 do not recommend plesk update to 12.5 as the bugs involved in the latest version has not been completely resolved. If you require any assistance regarding restarting nginx, you may refer the below link:

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Hi PriyanA,

you adress your question to the wrong party. Not Plesk states that they "do not recommend plesk update to 12.5", it's Web24. If they state that "as the bugs involved in the latest version has not been completely resolved", you should ask them for eventual reference(s) to their statement(s).

Believe me they were really good! about 2 years ago all started happening.

I have been with them for last 6 - 8 years.

Time to look for new hosting company i guess! :)

@PriyanA

Sure do look for another company, since what I have read in the first post: it is bollocks.

It is just some person from web24 that does not even bother to answer your question, let alone solve your problem.

Moreover, the essence of the response of web24 is that they try to blame Plesk software, in particular some fingers are pointed to Plesk 12.5.30.

That sounds rather odd, don´t you think?

A company not recommending Plesk 12.5.30, hence a company that probably does not use Plesk 12.5.30, but still stating that they know of bugs???

Well, really, that is like commenting on a Rolls Royce, while not having a driver´s license. What´s the point?

In conclusion, it is not about the response or lack of response, but do not work with a supplier that does not want to take their own responsibility.

That is what I would recommend.

Regards
