• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

webmail reinstall: how to ?

After a pretty succesfull hacking attempt on a rh9 box, the webmail was compromised: a few index.* files where deleted.

How can I reinstall the entire plesk webmail ? It is not a separate RPM, so I'm not sure where to find it.

I tried downloading the necessary files from the correct horde releases, but I leaves me with a few problems I cannot solve:

- Some "object not found" - style messages
- With a few clients: "Fatal error: TOO MANY CONSECUTIVE PROTOCOL VIOLATIONS" (not sure this is related, but I hope so)

I think reinstalling the webmail would be the solution.

(The box is using the latest 7.5.1)

Thanks for looking into this !
Gert.

As I reread my post, I just wanted to add that it was one our boxes being hacked by an unknow hacker, not me hacking into some rh9box :)

Somebody must have a clue how to solve this ?

i have had the same error at the opening page of horde webmail ever since one of the updates. I don't think it's anything to do with 'hacking' just some php or mysql issue.
