• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Weid things happening on my sites???

I am a total idiot when it comes to running a VDS, but I'm willing to learn. I have some really strange things happening that I hope, really, really hope someone has an answer for.
VDS with Godaddy
Plesk 7.5.3 Reloaded
Apache/2.0.51 (Fedora)

I've been running this VDS for a little over a year and it is only recently that I started having some problems, that I know of anyway.

My current problem is that I'm recreating an exsisting website. I totally dumped everything on it and am rebuilding it. Yesterday, I was happily editing and uploading a new index.htm file when all of a sudden, the url stopped resolving correctly. The url http://www.rootshunters.com or http://rootshunters.com started defaulting to http://www.rootshunters.com/installation/index.php (or without the www)
instead of pulling in the index.htm file .. if I type in http://www.rootshunters.com/index.htm then it's ok. Since I had just added another google adsense javascript I thought that might be a problem so I created a straight html page http://rootshunters.com/index.html, it still resolves to the /installation/index.php url. Probably at one time there was such a directory, but if so it has been gone a long time .. I haven't tried on another computer yet, but I have cleared all temp files and cache from this computer, so I can't believe this is just my computer.

While I was typing this, I realized that the sites that I'm having strange things happen on, are ones that I had previously installed and uninstalled some of the programs in the plesk application vaults. ??? I have no idea if that has any bearing on the strange behaviour that is happening now or not.

is there any other information I can supply that might help figure out this issue?

TIA ..... I really, really need help! ;) and really, really will appreciate any suggestions, ideas or new directions.... Thanks!!!
