What to backup when upgrading to 8.2?

After using the backup command /plesk_installation_directory/bin/pleskbackup --all <backup file name>
Will this backup be sufficient to restore Plesk to its original state if an update from 8.0 to 8.2 fails?

I think your doomed dude.

I have updates of each domain.... and cannot find a way to restore them. They are backed up on a remote FTP server. There is NO restore function in Plesk.

Does anyone know how to restore the backup file?

Okie Dokie... I have found the way of restoring files in the Plesk control panel.

Create the Client / Domain
Go to backup
Enter FTP repository details of where the previous backup files
Then select the file
Only then do you get an option to restore

Not to be negative... but

Considering the 2 weeks I've spent working on fixing the issues with the 8.2 upgrade, unless you REALLY need this upgrade for something that's critically broken, I'd wait for a while.

I've always had really good luck with plesk updates, with some help from 1&1, but this last one has really caused problems, and while there could be other issues at hand, (and I am on FC2 which may contribute) my poor little box is still having a hard time.

I have

** psa-dumps filling my /var directory
** no spamassassin, (although it's running)
** incorrect update reporting in the admin panel (not critical)
** unhappy customers

There were also database errors, and a few other issues that I was able to fix from the forums.

Again, I'm not sure it's all related, but it was all working before the upgrade and I didn't mess with anything else.

Just my 2¢

I really need PHP 5 on the server and there are already some compatibility issues I’m having with 8.0.1 which I hoped would be sorted in 8.2.
If I upgrade to PHP 5 with 8.0.1 is Plesk likely to throw a tantrum?
