• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Where the *** is pleskbackup for 8.2.1?

Forgive me if this question is infuriatingly elementary but I am at wit's end. I've been using 8.2.0 for a long while, just updated to 8.2.1 by the tech guys at my server company. But it still does not contain/include the backup function. Apparently pleskbackup and pleskrestore just aren't where they should be, in order for me to run backups. I went to the download section of the Parallels site, and see backup utility downloads for 8.1 and earlier, but beyond that I have no idea how to get backup functionality into my control panel.

Can anyone help, please? I am not a wizard but would have thought it would be easier than this! Thanks in advance.

Not sure about 8.2, but in 8.6 under General on upper left side, you click 'domains' and then click the domain name. You then see 'backup' amongst the various possiblities under Domain at the top.
