Which version of Windows 2012?

New Pleskian
I'm going to migrate to a new server soon as I've been running on an older Server 2003 machine with Helm 3.2 for YEARS and it's time to upgrade to Plesk 12.5...

I'm planning on going with Server 2012 R2, but I'm trying to decide whether to go with the Essentials version or the Standard version. Are there any downsides to the Essentials version since it's about 1/2 the price?

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Igor,

Outside of Plesk, are there any reasons you can think of why Standard would have any advantage over Essentials? I'm all for saving money, I just don't want to sacrifice any features, but for hosting web sites, I'm not really seeing anything that Essentials can't do.

Thanks,
Joe
