  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Which way should I pick to add the SSL Cert??

Hi,

I found there are two ways to add SSL cert in Plesk 10.3.1 Linux:

1. Websites & Domains -> Secure Your Sites -> Add SSL Cert
2. Server -> Tools & Utilities -> SSL Certs -> Add SSL Cert

What is the difference between them?
If I want to install a cert for mail server, which way should I go?

Thanks,

Raymond

Thanks for the information.

But when I order the SSL cert from other vendor, I need to generate the CSR, which path should I go?

1. Websites & Domains -> Secure Your Sites -> Add SSL Cert
2. Server -> Tools & Utilities -> SSL Certs -> Add SSL Cert

I just don't understand what is the difference between these two paths...

Thanks!!

Hey RaymondN,

If you trying to secure mail. I would go with the option 2. (Server -> Tools & Utilities...) because this certificate doesn't need to be tied to a specific domain. Just the main domain of the server.

After you get the certificate, then you need to follow KB 1062
