  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

We've just moved to a new server, its running on php 5.3.6, the old server was running on 5.2.17 and had horde installed, the new server has no webmail at all, so, which webmail program is the easist to install.

Also, as mentioned we're running on php 5.3.6, and the current plesk panel version is 9.5.4, is it easy to upgrade to Plesk Panel 10?

i would just continue to use horde then - your customers are probably used to it already. installing it is very easy since its rpm based - install the rpm from the command line or use Plesks UI to install it.

Thanks for that, Do you know the command to run? Sorry to ask, Only I'm new to server side stuff..

Hi,

if your new I would recomend using the Plesk UI instead, go to updates and select your version and then check the box next to the webmail you want (I think atmail, horde are there) and then click on install. It will do everything for you and email you once its done.

Thankyou very much for your help with this, All done, now just have an issue with the webmail subdomain as at the moment we're getting a blank page when we click on open webmail, hopefully this is just down to the subdomain..

blank page could mean php error - try and see if there is anything helpful in the error log.
