  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Wordpress-Toolkit does not accept DB usernames >16 characters

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

The Wordpress-Toolkit dialog to change user name and password of a database does not accept user names longer 16 characters, while other interface functions like the database configuration allows such user names (e.g. with MariaDB 10.3).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Try to enter a user name longer 16 characters into the database username field of the Wordpress password.

ACTUAL RESULT

System rejects the change.

EXPECTED RESULT

System should accept the change.
