Resolved wordpress-toolkit error during backup

Hi everyone, I am struggling for some days now, when I try to run the backup of a specific WP installation I get this error:

Errore nel backup del sito
  • Failed to copy file /var/www/vhosts/vps1.ewhost/domains/domain_name.com/wp-content/. to /var/www/vhosts/vps1.ewhost/.wp-toolkit/backups/24/files/wp-content

What should be the issue related to? I have made backups of other websites through Wordpress-toolkit and the succeeded with no issues.

Thank you

Leaving this here, could be useful.

Through the extension "Disk Space Usage" I did some digging and I found a 26 Gigs debug.log file (!!) in the wp-content folder, deleted that and the backup did just fine (freed up some space on the VPS too, feels like Christmas morning right now).

EDIT - The thread should be marked as "closed", I don't know if I can do that

Similar probelm:

Code:
Failed to copy file /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.ch/httpdocs/wp-content/. to /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.ch/.wp-toolkit/backups/6/files/wp-content

But there is no huge file.

I also tried detaching the WordPress installation from WP-Toolkit, removing the .wp-toolkit and wordpress-backups directories, and then relaunching the scan for the existing WordPress site.

The two directories mentioned above were successfully recreated, and WP-Toolkit seems to be working correctly.

However, the backup function still doesn't work.

Addendum ... the backup function, in fact, forks. It seems stuck but finally a 644M file has been produced, very slowly (> 30min) that isn't ok on a host with 15CPU and 32G ram, no swap and average CPU use 0.5% ...

@carini could you please double-check what value is set in Domains > example.com > Hosting & DNS > Hosting > Disk quota. The issue with failure to copy the files could result If the disk usage is greater or equal to the value.
