• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Issue WP Toolkit Clone error :: Failed to create subdomain

Hi

Error when using WP Tools clone to clone an established site to a staging subdomain:

Failed to create subdomain staging.domain or subdomain was created incorrectly

It works if bypass the subdomain creation using the clone tool and create the subdomain prior to using the clone tool.
Any ideas please. Bug?

I tried to reproduce it on a test system with CentOS 7, but there a Wordpress site cloned o.k. Is "Failed to create subdomain staging.domain or subdomain was created incorrectly" the error message that you see or is it a description what happens? I can't find this (or a similar) wording in known issues. Does the source website have security plugins, such as Wordfence?

Hi Peter, thanks for your reply. The error on screen was - "Failed to create subdomain staging.domain or subdomain was created incorrectly" but I have replaced the actual domain with 'domain' for customer privacy. Its not a description - its what our customer saw written to the screen.
They have a lot of plugins - Wordfence is not one of them but WP defender is present which does appear to be a security plugin. Thats it though in regards to security plugins.
