Issue XML Api special characters

Hello,
iam using the xml api and want to setup an autoresponder but iam always getting the error message "
Parser error: Cannot parse the XML from the source specified" when i type special character or umlaut like äöüß...
I have tried already thinks linke php htmlentities().
Please could you help me please?

Yes, it is known issue and we have the corresponding bugreport which is not fixed yet and I have no any ETA.
