  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello, I am very new to using Plesk on Windows, I've only ever managed Linux servers, so I apologize in advance if this is a very simple issue to resolve. I have setup a Plesk 12.5 server on Windows Server 2012 R2 and have migrated a test website over from an existing Windows Plesk 10 servers...

    CageFS and Plesk

Hello @AaronMcH I am currently using Plesk 12.5 with CloudLinux & CageFS and all is working well. The only I had to do was to add the default PHP session location to the users CageFS as I was using the Plesk PHP's, otherwise it is not within the cages scope.

    Preferred backup solution?

Thanks for the reply! :) Currently I'm not big enough to get my own hardware into a DC so I'm currently using virtual servers via a cloud hosting provider. Unfortunately I'm limited to 100 Mbps locally which would make full server restores/backups painful :(

    Preferred backup solution?

Hi @Oto Tortorella I have also looked at R1Soft. Do you have a cloud hosted or self hosted setup? I was considering a cloud hosted option such as http://r1softlicenses.com but I'm located in Australia, would the distance matter much?

    Preferred backup solution?

Hi @Sergey L At the moment they are both occurring weekly but I have thought about making the client ones daily. Edit: Just a question regarding the Plesk backups. When you choose incremental, you choose whether it is daily, weekly or monthly and at what time. But when you choose to do a full...

    Preferred backup solution?

I am using the Plesk backup but have the backup folder set up as a NFS mount to a dedicated backup server I use for client backups. I also have full server backups at the virtualization level that go off-site to Amazon S3.

@trialotto Surely when moving between servers and to move bulk accounts, the Plesk migration tool would be better.

    Wordpress website migration issues

Hello @bulent & @trialotto Thank you for your replies. For some reason i never thought of installing a fresh WP instance when moving from a development sub-directory to the root directory, I will do this from now on. By doing this it should resolve the problems I have when using the Plesk...

Slave DNS Manager - Slave zone location

Hello, Is it possible to change the location that the Slave DNS Manager adds slave zones to on the slave DNS servers? Currently it put it in /var/named but I would like them to go into /var/named/slaves. Instead of this being issued by the Plesk server: /usr/sbin/rndc -c slave.config addzone...

    Plesk on Centos 7.2

My server updated to CloudLinux 7.2 this morning and caused my entire server to crash, wasn't even responding to ICMP :( I had to power cycle the server to get it back up and running. I'm running Plesk 12.5 MU #15 on KVM.
