CageFS and Plesk

AaronMcH

New Pleskian
Hi there

We will be moving to Plesk 12 from Plesk 11.5 this year and I have started looking into CageFS, I wanted to know if this is something that is supported directly by Plesk, and from experience is there much difference between CageFS and the current chroot environment that comes with Plesk?

Thanks
Aaron

Hello Aaron,

CageFS is supported directly through CloudLinux.
CloudLinux provides extensions for Plesk. One of them provides ability to manage CageFS.

Hello @AaronMcH

I am currently using Plesk 12.5 with CloudLinux & CageFS and all is working well.

The only I had to do was to add the default PHP session location to the users CageFS as I was using the Plesk PHP's, otherwise it is not within the cages scope.
