  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Update Error - Release does not have a Release file

It should be a scripted task, and for the user it should be a one-click (or command) operation. For users running Plesk-Ubuntu 18 on MySQL there is no path to upgrade at all. They have to migrate to a brand new installation. I've been using PLESK for more than 10 years, but it's enough now with...

Resolved Update Error - Release does not have a Release file

The Ubuntu distro is easily upgradable with the option apt-get dist-upgrade Unfortunately it breaks PLESK, if run without a long list of pre-conditions being met. From Ubuntu 18 to 20 it would only work with MariaDB, not with MySQL...

Resolved Update Error - Release does not have a Release file

Of course, upgrading the distro would be the best solution. But you don't provide a tool for that, which you should. The upgrade process is adventurous. For not-so-experienced users it is a very tough task, to upgrade a live system from Plesk-Ubuntu 18 to 20.

Resolved Update Error - Release does not have a Release file

Just delete or out-comment the line for the repo in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/plesk.list BTW: The distro upgrade procedure from Ubuntu 18 to 20 on Plesk is a very bad joke. For a paid product this is unacceptable. I'm considering to ditch PLESK. @Peter Debik Why not just answering the original...

    Question SSL Setup Outlook

I had a similar issue, with an expired cert I got re-issued under the same name handle. It turned out that it still delivered the expired cert, although the newer one was selected. I deleted these certs and started over and then it worked.

Forwarded to devs Exclude directories in a domain from a scheduled serverwide backup

No, sorry, it's just not working, please really have a look at it. I went deeper into a directory containing thousands of files. It's actually a subdomain, don't know if that makes a difference. /mnt/vhosts/sub.domain.com/httpdocs/files/* But nothing is excluded.

Issue Exclude directories from scheduled serverwide backups

I'd rather prefer to have the UI to select what to backup, than what to exclude. And I've tried all of the above path variations and nothing was excluded. I'll open a report, thanks.

    Question Anti-SPAM options for Plesk

I've installed Pyzor und Razor with Spamassassin and it works very well. Many datacenters have DNS resolvers setup with systemd-resolve, which have rate limits for queries of DNSBLs. In those cases Spamassasin couldn't match against DNSBLs and a lot of spam comes thru. It's easy to setup...

Issue Exclude directories from scheduled serverwide backups

I don't think so, there's a textbox in the scheduling dialog to provide paths to exclude, allowing wildcards, but it does nothing.

Issue Exclude directories from scheduled serverwide backups

Hi, I want to exclude directories in a domain from a scheduled serverwide backup. I tried (Plesk root is under /mnt/vhosts/ on that server) /mnt/vhosts/domain.com/* /mnt/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/* /domain.com/* */domain.com/* domain.com/httpdocs/* /domain.com/httpdocs/* But its still backing...

Resolved Exclude a folder from backup?

Hi, I want to exclude everything in a domain from a serverwide scheduled backup. Would be nice if you would provide the same UI you have, to pick parts to restore from backups, to pick parts to exclude. Or pick what to include in a serverwide backup, either way. Anyway, I tried (Plesk root is...
