  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Exclude directories from scheduled serverwide backups

robotic

New Pleskian
Hi, I want to exclude directories in a domain from a scheduled serverwide backup.
I tried (Plesk root is under /mnt/vhosts/ on that server)

/mnt/vhosts/domain.com/*
/mnt/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/*
/domain.com/*
*/domain.com/*
domain.com/httpdocs/*
/domain.com/httpdocs/*

But its still backing up everything.

P.S.:
IMHO it would make much more sense, if one could pick what to include in a backup, using the same UI you got for the restore dialog.

I don't think so, there's a textbox in the scheduling dialog to provide paths to exclude, allowing wildcards, but it does nothing.

I'd rather prefer to have the UI to select what to backup, than what to exclude.
And I've tried all of the above path variations and nothing was excluded.
I'll open a report, thanks.

yeah this is very wrong, how come that exclude box doesnt works for domains? doesnt make any sense, then how people exclude domains? always opening a terminal to run a CLI command?
