Question How to provide CLI Commands with spaces

Thanks for your reply. It really helped. When I try to execute the command from the bash, which is started by ssh, I have this problem. When I start a new bash from within it works as it should. I don't really understand why this happens, but now I can at least work correctly with the CLI.

Question How to provide CLI Commands with spaces

Hi, it seems like Plesk CLI Commands are unable to process space characters in Parameters. For example: # plesk bin service_plan --info "Default Admin" An error occurred while getting the hosting plan information: Unknown option 'Admin': /usr/local/psa/bin/service_plan --info Default Admin I...

Resolved Ubuntu 20.04 LTS or 22.04 LTS

Still it's better to go with the actual standards, than relying on compatibility layers which may be dropped sooner or later. Fail2Ban seems to support nftables natively, so it should only require mofidied rules.

Resolved Ubuntu 20.04 LTS or 22.04 LTS

I am curious on the outcome. There seem to be quite a few things which differ, like the deprecation of iptables. Neither Plesk Firewall nor Plesk Fail2ban seem to support nftables up till now. I also wonder: Is it planned to provide a possibility for Dist-Upgrading Ubuntu 20 to 22? And if so...

Resolved Deprecation of Let's Encrypt Extension

According to changelog and some announcements, the support for the Let's Encrypt Extension is going to be droppend and replaced by the SSLIt! Extension. Does anybody know if the SSLIt!-Extension is going to respect the panel.ini settings, which were set for the Let's Encrypt Extension in the...

Question DKIM Signature for System messages

Does Plesk sign system messages ("Tools & Settings" > "Notifications", lost passwords and others ) with DKIM? If so: Where can I get the selector and the key to insert it into the matching DNS-zone? If not: Is it possible to activate DKIM-signing for there mails?

Question Difference between Key Administrator and Partner Central

Currently Plesk offers two interfaces to manage licenses. The Key Administrator (https://ka.plesk.com:4000/) and the Partner Central (Plesk Partner Central). I just don't understand the point in having two interfaces. It looks like both offer the same kind of functionality, however the UI is...

Question How long is Plesk going to Support Ubuntu 16?

Question How long is Plesk going to Support Ubuntu 16?

The standard lifecyle for Ubuntu sets the End of Life for Ubuntu 16 this April. However currently there is no information on how long Plesk is going to support Ubuntu 16. Neither the Plesk Handbook (Software Requirements for Plesk Obsidian), nor the deprecation plan (Feature Deprecation Plan)...

Resolved What Happened To The Scheduled "Guide" To Ubuntu OS Dist-Upgrade / Obsidian 18.0.31?

Hi, did anyone here already tried the Dist-Upgrade-Guide successfully? I wanted to test it on a Ubuntu 18 machine (so Ubutnu 18 → 20), however it didn't quite work. I think the problem was in step 12. The guide states, that a few packages may get uninstalled during this step, however on my...

    Let's Encrypt extension

The current changelog for the extension hows the following entry: We often have the problem, that we can't force the issue of LE by service plan, because in most cases the domains aren't registered yet or still point to a different provider and as a result we get errors and notification mails...

Resolved What Happened To The Scheduled "Guide" To Ubuntu OS Dist-Upgrade / Obsidian 18.0.31?

Thats ridiculous to say, considering Ubuntu 18 was released 2018 and soon it's 2021. But the main point of my question was a completely different one: The changes from Ubuntu 14 to Ubuntu 16 were HUGE, yet Plesk managed to provide a great working distupgrade script in time. In comparision the...

Resolved What Happened To The Scheduled "Guide" To Ubuntu OS Dist-Upgrade / Obsidian 18.0.31?

I really wonder why it takes so long. The differences between Ubuntu 16 and 18, and between 18 and 20 are much less significant, than the ones from 14 to 16 (with the whole shift to systemd), and yet they were much quicker to provide a dist-upgrade-path at that time.

    Question Documentation on .autoinstallerrc

Thanks, that's useful. How old is the file? I noticed, that on some of our systems the file contians the parameters SSL_PROTOCOLS and SSL_CIPHERS, which aren't present in your file. Does anybody know if these are the settings for the autorinstaller web-interface (Port 8447), or for Plesk itself...

Question Set a minimum password policy

Hi, is there a way (database entry, panel.ini, special file), to force a minimum Password Strength Policy, for a system. I'd like to restrict the administrator to be only able to select between "strong" and "very strong" in the interface.
