• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved 17.0 -> 17.5 with MariaDB

New Pleskian
Hi all.

I want to upgrade to 17.5. I replaced MySQL with MariaDB when installing 17.0, will this cause any issues when upgrading?
Anything else to be aware of?

Thanks!

Hi mgsolidus,

let's see what the RELEASE NOTES for Plesk Onyx tell us about "Supported Third-Party Components":

=> Software Requirements for Plesk

Database servers and tools:
  • MySQL 5.1 - 5.7
  • MySQL community edition 5.5, 5.6, 5.7
  • PostgreSQL 8.4-9.5
  • MariaDB 5.5, 10.0, 10.1

If the release notes state clearly, that your desired database - server version IS supported, you might trust such a documentation. :p
