2 domains - One Doc root, nice URL looked for..

kadoudal

Regular Pleskian
Currently we have 2 domains , one for each country ( more to come... if you play golf !)
seveacademy.com (english) and seveacademy.es (spanish)

Both domains have been created in Plesk with the same shared IP address
so we have /var/www/vhosts/seveacademy.com and /var/www/vhosts/seveacademy.es

In /var/www/vhosts/seveacademy.es/httpdocs , I put an .htaccess file to rewrite the request :
----
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.seveacademy.com/es/$1 [R=301,L]
----
this works well , all the code (Drupal CMS) being in /var/www/vhosts/seveacademy.com/httpdocs
where there is another .htaccess for Drupal
----
# Rewrite URLs of the form 'x' to the form 'index.php?q=x'.
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !=/favicon.ico
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
---
when requesting the url : http://www.seveacademy.es
we are redirected to http://www.seveacademy.com/es and the spanish version is on..

Is it possible to keep the spanish domain, after being redirected ... so the user sees
http://www.seveacademy.es
this would maybe avoid another sea battle .....
if yes, how and where I can modify teh rewriting ?

thanks for your suggestions
