4.1 to 4.2 upgrade , sql server login Failure

I am trying to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2 but the install program gets an login faileure to my remote sql server , the sitebuilder is up and running fine , also the repair program gets the same error.

Could you please provide exactly error which you get? Also, which steps do you perform for Sitebuilder update?

I downloiaded the 4.2 windows upgrade and ran on server the got the error message below

from installatioin wizard ; " cannot connect to the server . please check your connection settings and verify the sql server is in the coirrect state.

from mssq2l log Login failed for user ''. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. [CLIENT: 65.240.224.234]


it tried to connect to the right server , but used a bad user name
