• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Issue 502 Bad Gateway, sw-engine start fails

New Pleskian
I'm using Plesk 12.5.30 on Ubuntu 14.04.

Trying to access Plesk panel, I get a 502 Bad Gateway since this morning.

/var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log has
2019/05/15 07:57:18 [crit] 15049#0: *3 connect() to unix:/var/run/sw-engine.sock failed (2: No such file or directory) while connecting to upstream, client: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, server: , request: "GET /smb/ HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/sw-engine.sock:", host: "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8443"

/etc/init.d/psa stopall && /etc/init.d/psa startall results in

/etc/init.d/sw-engine start gives me
* Starting Plesk engine pool manager sw-engine-fpm [fail]

/var/log/sw-cp-server/sw-engine.log is empty.

I've tried plesk-installer --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --upgrade-installed-components, but that fails with
***** problem report *****
===> Plesk database scheme was not upgraded completely. See installation log for details.

None of the logs at /var/log/plesk/install have any additional info.

/etc/fstab does have
shm /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0

and I have tried remounting /dev/shm.

I have tried /usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp12.5.30-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair. It says
/usr/bin/sw-engine: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_filesystem-plesk.so.1.55.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

libboost-system.1.55.0, libboost-filesystem1.54.0 and sw-libboost-filesystem1.55.0 are installed.

Is there anything I can do to save this Plesk installation?

Nevermind. I have finally managed to destroy the server beyond repair trying to fix this. Currently installing a new image from scratch. On the bright side, I'll finally move to Onyx.
