502 Everytime I Try To Export Database

i am unable to export any database due to error 502s. this is very, very frustrating. Whats the fix for this? I tried restarting the server and its not working.

Can you please check the server error log file and let me know what error are you getting in that file

im logging in using root and putty and it says permission denied.

exporting and importing seems to be an issue all around. cant even import a 500kb file into wordpress without getting a error 500.
