  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

6 Gbytes disk space lost after auto update failure

Smartnet

Basic Pleskian
Dear all,
yesterday we've tried to use our plesk panel updater on Plesk 9.3.0 and after the update process a failure message appeared on Plesk's update which was informing us that the update process has been failed. After that we noticed that we lost about 6 gigabytes of disk space!!. Are there any downloaded update files (and where can we find them) that we have to delete in order to gain back our disk space??

Regards,
Andrew

Look at /root/psa directory. There are all packages which were downloaded during Plesk update.

Problem solved , but Plesk service fails frequently

Thanks a lot , we found these files and we deleted them. But now we're experiencing frequently crashes of plesk web server , drweb , and all commands thru plesk's interface are executed with extremely slowness.

Here is a copy of the log file.

Seems upgrade was not successfully completed previously due to lack of diskspace. Try to increase it and run upgrade agail with /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your immediate response.

That's true...upgrade wasn't sucessfull ....but does it need more that 11 Gbytes of disk space?? - We have the version 9.3.0 already installed and the PLesk panel updater was reporting that Plesk base packages needed to be updated. I don't think that 11gbytes aren't enough. Anyway since this problem appeared we didn't do any second try to update but as you may see also in the log file.....plesk seems to continue trying to download and install updates. Is there any way to stop this process?

Regards,
Andrew
